My memory too is now hazy, but as I remember, it was published about 1986/7 and the basis was that the publishers bought into certain companies that looked as if they were not following the general upward trend. They then published a glowing report (without too many facts to cloud the hype) and released their shares into the surge of buying. Unfortunately the rise was somewhat temporary.
