[sharechat] Overseas investments

Hi,

Sorry to get of the subject of shares but I have just
received a query from a mate in Aust who owns a house
there and is looking at renting it while he comes back
to NZ for work.

Does anybody know of any good sites that will let him
know the in's and out's of this. I am presuming that
he will have to pay tax in Aust on any net income (
paid at non resident rates) while he is in NZ

Anybody know any more?
