We had a similar problem here several years ago with the introduction of premium unleaded petrol. There were a large number of vehicles affected with "rotting" fuel hoses. I cant recall the effect on NZR. share price though. With Gull importing all its fuel there is a huge competitive advantage being handed to it on a plate by the other oil companies.
