I don't see that the word " vs" has to come into
it:
For a start, if you want to study a company then it
is good practice to look at a chart.
If you find some unusual highs or lows, then the
next step is to trace a reason for it.
The reason could be anything but as you know the
approximate date, you can access the Company news from Stockness or any
other source and so often find the reason.
So, in this simple but important example, you may
speed up the research without really having to know anything about
charts!
If I were a dogmatist, life would'nt be so
interesting.
