Phil - I don't have Saturn but do have
SKY digital
The CNBC Australia is on all day with
the American coverage in the morning - a lot of Asia and Oz stuff during the day
and then pretty broad coverage of the European markets in the evening. The dudes
on 'Squawkbox' who come on before the UK market opens are pretty
entertaining.
The CNBC Australia round up on the
Australia market is pretty comprehensive.
In addition SKY news has now gone
Australian (not just beamed out of UK anymore) and they have good business
coverage in the weekends. The best part is the half hour interviews they have
with business leaders - very good.
I tuned in to see how Silver Archer was
going to go in the Waikato Steeples. Surfing through the channels and there was
Maria interviewing somebody from Home Depot. The Home Depot man was resplendent
in his orange apron (with a tie on) and that did not even put Maria off.
Life will never be the same
again.......and I missed the race.
For a more serious discourse of how the
press/publicity influences the market 'The Fortune Tellers' by Howard Kurtz is a
good and entertsining read.
Can read a chapter for
free on B&N
I see that Maria has a book
coming soon - Xmas present hopefully
Cheers
Peter
