Snoopy,
Thanks for your advice to Jonathan. Obviously, it is a speculative share; if it were not, the
price could be anywhere up to $ ?
As patents are approved, risks decline and prices
move up. I hope that nobody is that stupid " To put all your money into this
basket! ", as you put it, Snoopy. I only have 3% in this
stock!
I don't think that no matter how
good an investment, nobody should put
all his money into one basket; however, you would
think that chatters would be aware of this, would'nt you? MMD must be accorded
a much higher risk!
Then you say: " One wrong move and the share
price could halve overnight "
And that is exactly what happened to
AIRVA , $ 4 in 1997/98, 2.70 in
June 1999, $1.40 in March this year - when I suggested
to somebody to get out of AIRVA quickly and move into AIA -
, to 85 cents a few weeks
ago.
And now AIRVA is going to WINZ ( the
Government ) for a hand- out of some $ 500- $ 700 mill.
dollars !!!!
And AIRVA are asking us to
subsidize your future dividends, Snoopy !! Socialism at its
best!
No talk about market forces here! I
wonder, what W. Buffet has to say about this!
It is clear that the investment risk has
been very high in the case of AIRVA. It has been
lowered as the taxpayer may have
to step in!
Then you say "MMD is * the * riskiest share that
has been discussed on the forum this year" I
think that AIRVA would compete for that title, don't
you?
I could'nt care much if anybody invested in MMD
or any other share; we are working at the coal face and take the losses /
gains as they come. And we do our studies before we invest.
And those chatters who invested in my selected
Australian stocks, congratulations, and let us hope that there is more to
come!
Obviously, they do it at their
own risk - and not
at the taxpayers'
- and are proud of it!
But, nobody can ever accuse me of being a
dogmatist; my selection of long term solid Australian- and other
stocks are testimony to that!!
