Re: [sharechat] Re Challenge Petroleum

Mick Clifton tells us "All I've done is pass on some information". His original message sent last Tuesday stated "Look out for an announcement today. Castrol has purchased Challenge for 30m"  The name Castrol was later changed to Caltex but no announcement whatsoever relating to the sale of Challenge was made that day - or since.

My dictionary defines information as "knowledge, intelligence, news" but as Mr Clifton's message contained none of those components then all he has passed on is speculation - perhaps with an added dash of optimism or wishful thinking.

Mr Stolwyk
It doesn't bother me whether you take any interest in my comments re the sale of Challenge.
What does bother me is when I get sarcastic remarks about my comments. To which I believe
this message insinuates.
All I've done is passed on some information that some people might find interesting.
Time will tell regards the sale.

Alec,

Thanks! Al last, something concrete and of value! Pse keep us informed.

There has been a lot of talk about relatively minor assets, eg. a $10 mill. profit= 3 cents / RBC share. ( RBC has 350 mill. shares ).

Mind you, Capstone at the right sale price, could be worth a few bob!

However, all this talk keeps the pot boiling and, at last, we have somebody who can correctly spell the word " Challenge ".

I would like to refer to these side issues as curtain raisers to the main game to be watched by RBC fans, sitting in the FFS stadium, waiting for the referee ( receiver ) to turn up!

That's where the points are! If only, we can get the try converted ( sell out FFS / FFSPA at a nice price ), then, we shall be at least half way across the Rubicon !

Gerry
(holds RBC)
