The posts with competition in the heading arnt so bad, i just ignore them.
Its when they jump onto other threads it becomes annoying.
     Yesterday i started a thread asking which were the best and worst
investments of the last decade and next,  who should reply but g stolwyk
 who contributed the following to the discussion

       I got an answer alright, and  it was that g.stolwyk is a ......
  If he wants to run endless competitions  then fine , however it would
be great if he kept them under the right headings so that we can simply
delete
them, rather than have to open them and read the things
