Mick and Malcolm,

What I meant by " That GULL would get a quick approval " is, that they are not a main competitor at present with regard to market share or dominance in this market!

Nobody can speak for the Commisson but I assume that Caltex would get an approval as well, assuming they don't have a large market share in a large area; if they did, they may have to dispose of a few stations perhaps!

With regard to improving the business, sure, it is always better to sell an improved business.

As far as Caltex is concerned, They may consider it to be more important to get the sites now, who knows?

What is a few million dollars to them?

PS: Please count me out on further discussions on these Challenge stations: I am somewhat busy at the moment!

Gerry
