Re: [sharechat] Te Ranganui~Right On Bro
Well he's much more convincing than RIL - and more in touch.
He mixes the earthy culture of the tangata whenua with some
penetrating sharechat specific questions and would obviously
have done a lot better for the Tainui with their Treaty settlement
than the Warriors & &.
As long as people stick mainly to share questions as he does,
so what. If he's fake then he's quite convincing, besides which
hundreds of thousands of our fellow Kiwis talk and think like that
anyway and its great to see them taking an interest in shares -
pushes our share prices up too... ;-)
How far will Telecom go on index buying before the fundamentals
(falling profits and increasing competition) reassert themselves
and it falls back to earth.
Any variations on a three quarter percent cut by Alan Greenspan
on Wednesday? I see the Europeans haven't cut. I suppose the
Australians will be too scared to cut much for a while for fear of
collapsing the Aussie dollar further.
I can't believe how stupid the Japanese are - their situation is
tailormade for a good dose of Keynes and cranking the printing
presses - huge balance of payments surplus and overseas assets,
unemployment and vast underemployment, deflation as opposed
to inflation, practically zero interest rates. All they have to do is
borrow a few trillion yen off their Central Bank at zero per cent
inerest for two hundred years (and roll it over then if necessary)
and spend up large on roading and public housing. Instead they're
bogged down in the thoughts of Friedman and Margaret Thatcher
even though they're totally inappropriate to their circumstances.
Maybe one can only say a people so lacking in imaginative solutions
deserve to suffer.
