have a look at UIL maybe you can explain the big jump today malcolm Sorry Malcolm but IMHO the art of trading has nothing to do with explaining one of price movements. Especially in a relatively low volume, low profile stock. Wrightson is currently profile (due to the upturn in the rural sector) has reasonably high liquidity and waxes and wanes with large numbers of investors reacting to any significant news (or perceived news). The trading art is to get into the oversells and sell on the hypes! :-) on stocks that you (the trader) are following. Trying to work out what caused the bumps in ALL stocks is a time consuming non profit making pain in the ?*&^%$! exercise. For trading, pick a few stocks to follow and hang on for the ride!
