Suggestions are that the institutions who took the
Lion offer could not dump all of their shares because of their offering
exceeding the Lion 50+% .
If so they may still have some shares worth lots
less and they too may have been better to take the ALLD offer.
Any way the following from yesterday's press is the
end of it for now.

Business suggests Diageo could be headed for another clash with rival Allied
Domecq in a $1.2bn bid battle to acquire Kendall-Jackson, a Californian wine
producer.
How many times bigger than MON is this one and how
much harder will it be for MON to market its product in UK without
ALLD???
