ML values TEL's (50%) share of the Cable at downside ~80c, mid ~$1.42 and
upside ~$1.60/share, so it is is significant asset that people don't seem to
take much notice of.
If it ends up buying Optus then it will have 90% of the cable, with MCI
Worldcom having the other 10%, that will be a golden horse in thier stable,
so to speak.

I see there being upside with them whether they buy C&WO or Vodafones
network. They will tack that onto TEL + AAPT and they will have something
decent then.
