Yes, they could both be right!
Air NZ did not hedge their fuel when they could
have done so with an initial hedge @ $US 11 and kept on hedging
thereafter.
So, they have been paying the full price and can
only benefit, now they are buying at lower prices. How long will these
last?

This 'help' could be temporary perhaps. Both
Air NZ and Telecom seem to have a hard time in Aussie, don't
they? Plenty of debt there!
Incidentally, there is an article on the back page
of the NZ Herald's ( Weekend Herald ) finantial section by the widely
respected Brent Sheather.
In the past he 'exposed' some of
the fees the client of an advisor needed to pay. Now he
talks about fees and bias of the paid
advisor.
