Very interesting, are ITC considering buying into listed companies? This is
the impression I got from the interview and it sounds like a new direction
for ITC.

As for benefits for shareholders, they may come through an increase in
share price, but the market sentiment in IT will have to change again for
that to happen to any great extent. On the other hand if ITC's investments
start to pay off and the shareprice doesn't improve then benefits may come
through a takeover of ITC.
