For me the question is one of opportunity cost.  Would I be better taking 
up the rights or investing the money elswhere?  The NZSE has some rather 
attractive looking stocks at the moment, and the next few weeks will be 
interesting.
I guess a lot of people are in this boat.  Taking up the rights could tie 
up your capital for some time.
