Cadmus, an offshoot of Heritage Gold is planning to list on the NZSE later this month after finalising a placement of shares at $0.20 to sophisticated investors. Prior to listing Cadmus will acquire Insight Data Limited, which has recently announced several major joint ventures.One of these is with TrustPower Limited (The Australian Gas Light Co. is a significant shareholder) to produce and instal a full function eftpos and credit card home payment system under a 50/50 joint venture company called PosPower Limited. This is believed to be a world first and gives TrustPower enormous advantages in expanding its customer base in NZ. The same technology can be applied in Australian and overseas utility markets and for a variety of other businesses. The joint venture company and Insight Data Limited hold patents for the technology. Other joint ventures have been established with: * E-Phone Limited for recharge of phone cards and installation of payment technology, and * E-Smart Card Technologies Limited to provide an internet based procurement/fulfilment system at 700 New Zealand sites. Cadmus Technology Limited is finalising a placement of 30m ordinary shares at NZ 20cps to professional ('sophisticated') investors prior to listing on the NZSE.
