I think you're are going to be hard pressed to get some enthusiasm up
over BRY, Roy :)
It may have given you more trading profits than any other share, but to
many New Zealanders it is a living example of how a company destroys
shareholder wealth.
Let's take a quick look at their recent "ventures". The much-hyped
"tech @ BIL". What has happened to this? Launched on March 9th 2000,
I haven't heard about one investment that this new division has made.
The "Asia Recovery Fund?" Supposedly launched April 1999, and then
"restructured" June this year. Haven't heard much from this Fund as well,
except that they have made "initial investments in undervalued Asian
hydrocarbon assets."
BRY have a lot to prove before many investors return. Still though,
as you say, it may have bottomed out again and could be a good trade
:)
