Hi Nick, I tend to view biotech companies a bit like oil companies, if they strike oil - i.e. their vaccine gets to the market & is very effective then they're going to make lots of money and the share price will go up, on the other hand if they don't then they've spent lots of money on a project getting nowhere and the price will fall. Therefore they are a very speculative investment. Genesis does seem to have more than one iron if the fire however and seem to have other sources of ongoing income, its a pity though that the Dairy Board didn't choose them to sequence the cow's genome (as I thought they were going to) that's because there is a company overseas that can do it far more efficiently than Genesis.
