Fwd: Re: [sharechat] open question
Andrew,
That's a big call to offer someone but I guess it does satisfy the second
criteria maybe. To meet the 'safe' requirement, one tends to contradict
the second criteria in searching. Safe and 'very short term growth'
represent the magic share that we all look for, that real winner.
Well 'fraid to disappoint you John but you probably will not find such a
share unless you go out and play the market many times over.
Can I remind you of a man called Babe Ruth. He was the greatest hitter
in the history of American baseball. He struck more winners/home runs
than anyone. That's what we remember, he hit runs galore. What we
forget is this. Babe Ruth stepped up to the plate the greatest number
of times and Babe Ruth got struck out the greatest number of times.
Have fun
Chris
NB Have a look at Transalta(TLT). NCH are in the process of taking out
the remaining shares. You receive 1.86 shares in NCH for each TLT. Both
have just gone ex div Monday and are off recent cum div highs of
$1.72(NCH) and $3.05(TLT). Check recent announcements and do your own
calculations. I see bigger growth for NCH once this is all shaken out.
Hutt Mana Energy Trust appear to be about to endorse the offer and once
confirmed compulsory acquisition will occur. Have a snoop around
$1.68-$1.71(TLT). I am looking at +15% in the next 6 weeks.
