A couple of things have struck me as noticeable in the last week and a bit. 1. News in general has been very very quiet. There have been few loud noises coming from anywhere (except the TEL shareholders - yeah, I thought 7 was the bottom too...) 2. Even chatters are focussing away from the usual topics, sugesting that people have little to say about the usual companies. 3. I recall early this year a chatter posting some research he did on buying on volume and the three month post-spike rise. The theory was evident in a number of volume graphs... little noise for a while, a sudden large spike in volume over one or two days that had little or no effect on the price, followed by a sustained surge around about two-four months later. 4. I've just been through some random volume graphs of the last six months. There are about six companies I found where late July/early August there is a big volume spike. There has not been any effect on the price in any of them... and all has been very quiet from these companies in particular. Am I just being optimistic? BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: The one other factor going for these companies is that I hold a couple of them and have to sell very very soon to get some cash. Undoubtedly a sustained rise will follow shortly after I sell.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors http://www.netbroker.co.nz/ Trade on Credit, Low Brokerage.
