Pair boost NZ board
Receivables Management Group Limited has
appointed two key senior
executives to its New Zealand board.
Stuart Christie has been appointed director,
business support and development and Bob Garters will be director,
operations and finance. They join RMG CEO Paul Cooney on the New Zealand
Board. Mr Christie will be responsible for marketing, business
development, IT and administration for the group's New Zealand
operations.
Prior to joining Receivables Management he
was managing director of Debtor Management (NZ) Limited and College
Credit Management Limited. He has also held a number of senior marketing
positions in BHP Steel and was a director of BHP subsidiaries in New
Zealand and Australia. Mr Christie acquired Debtor Management (NZ)
Limited in 1998 and 50 per cent of College Credit Management Limited in
1999.
In addition to his role at Receivables
Management, Mr Christie is vice president of the Associated Credit
Bureaux NZ Inc and is a member of the NZ Credit and Finance Institute
Inc. Mr Garters will assume responsibility for finance, collections and
ledger management in New Zealand. A 31-year veteran of the industry, he
has a strong combination of industry experience and knowledge.
In more recent years Mr Garters served as
Director of Canterbury Credit Consultants, Northern Credit Consultants,
Otago Credit Consultants and College Credit
Management Limited. He was a founder and director of the previously
publicly listed Creditcorp Services Limited.
Mr Garters is an Associated Fellow of NZ
Institute of Management and is also a member of the NZ Credit and
Finance Institute Inc. Commenting on the announcement, Mr Cooney said
the appointment of Mr Christie and Mr Garters will add considerable
strength to the company's senior management team.
