Hi Tony,
The volume of shares is high but the value is quite low.
As Warner indicated, and it seems to make sense to explain the
lack of interest in IT companies right now, is that investors are
being cautious at the moment. Maybe too many have had their
fingers burnt with the downgrading of many IT shares. 
Maybe too many have bought into TEL thinking it was safe?
Maybe people are expecting the annual jitters around Autumn
in the States to be worse this year?

This seems to extend to Australia as well, where I would have
expected Telemedia to go alot higher on the Cisco news.

Am I right in thinking that if someone bought SPE shares before
the rights issue at 13c then the average cost of the shares after 
was about 5c? If this is so then the lack of people willing to
trade below 5c is understandable.

With no impetus to go up and none to go down I guess this explains
the tight trading range. My guess is that there will have to be
more news before SPE moves much either way. But once it does start
to move you may not have the chance to top up (maybe a good thing
if it goes down!).

And for the brave, there's always SPEOB. If they hit 1c I'm in!
