I agree with James; there is value out there. I was just reviewing the
shares I have bought through Ben's Netbroker (excellent service BTW) since I
opened my account a month ago. 
WAM       +16.1%
SKC        + 14.5%
AIA          +  8.5%
WPTCA   +8.2%
DPC        +1.6%

I am comfortable with all of these as long term investments

The only one that has not appreciated is the penny dreadful punt RMG which
is at the same price as I bought it for.
