Mine cost $29 and came with 10 hours free internet access courtesy of Saturn.  Sure their customer service is a joke, but once it's all set up you don't need to talk to them any more.
 
I just switched from that second line to a cable modem with flat rate high bandwidth, and a regular phone line.  Total package $110 per month (cf. $30 + $30 for 2 phone lines and $40 for flat rate unlimited 56k internet connection)
 
And Telstra/Saturn have earmarked $1B for rolling this out to the rest of the country.
 
Hence Telecom's advance to the share price of yesteryear.  I think we need to start getting used to a 6 in front of the TEL price.
