Good comments Les and Warner. This is just a bump in the road.
Remember at the end of the day CITIC needs customers (FLP & FFS) just as
badly as FLP & FFS needs a supplier of wood. They are just playing hard ball
visa the media and frightened a few horses in the process.
Another point to consider is that CITIC may also be a
buyer of FFS or the CNIFP themselves. Recent flooding in China has rammed home
the folly of mass deaforestation there. They are now short of wood and wood
products such as packaging which will only get worse as their industrial
production increases.
