EPH 13/07/2000 GEN REL: 1218 HRS E-Phone Limited GEN: EPH: EPHONE FORMS ALLIANCE WITH NCR & HEWLETT PACKARD E-Phone announced the creation of a strategic alliance framework to attack the Public Internet Terminal and Kiosk market. E-Phone has joined forces with 2 industry giants - NCR and Hewlett Packard - to further develop its proprietary software and management system known as PATLOC, which enables the remote management, billing and control of Public Access Internet Terminals. E-Phone currently has some 150 terminals placed along the Australian eastern seaboard and in NZ. The company is also a major supplier of phone cards in NZ and has similarly ambitious plans in Australia. The alliance has been established to explore and enhance existing and future market opportunities and to support each other's products and services where appropriate. The alliance further seeks to develop the relationship by making joint submissions for multinational and large corporate customers.
