I'm partly just hoping that this actually forces Access to get their ASX service up and going finally - they seem to have been avoiding the issue for a while, but they can't anymore.

Good one Mark.  This certainly looks very comprehensive. Access & Direct will need to work fast to upgrade their systems otherwise I can see Quicken scooping the pot. I see DFMainland are the NZ broker.  I like the simplicity of joining - no extra Bank Account requirements for NZ and the facility to open an Australian account.

I use Quicken's accountancy package which can be linked to the Market which is an added advantage.

Again, sorry Ben, but it is a competitive marketplace.
I should be getting commission from Quicken for this plug :>)

Disclosure:  Have used Access for many years, but not online as yet. I did email Peter Hansen
(Marketing Manager) a while ago suggesting their site might be falling behind and he told me they are in the process of upgrading their facilities.

Sorry about this Ben :)

For those of you who do a lot of trading on ASX, then Quicken NZ's new
brokerage service is looking pretty good:

Flat rate ASX trades of AUD$29 flat fee up to $10,000, then 0.4% thereafter.
Full online purchase/sell facilities, so no emails or phone calls required.
They also cater for stop losses, etc.

Also, for NZSE trading, a flat rate fee of NZ$24.95 for trades up to $10,000
(better than Access, my current broker, who have yet to get ASX webbroker
service off the ground), then 0.4% thereafter. Same online facilities as for
ASX trading.

I still haven't checked out your facility Ben, but Quicken looking very
good.

Cheers
