LIB's response to ASX shre price enquiry follows.
LIB do not deny they have been in discussion with others.
More to follow sounds interesting.

 LibertyOne Limite ANNOUNCEMENT
LIBERTYONE LIMITED 2000-07-06 ASX-SIGNAL-G
HOMEX - Sydney
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
RESPONSE TO ASX QUERY
LibertyOne Limited ("the Company") acknowledges receipt of your
facsimile dated 5 July 2000, which notes the change in price of the
Company's securities from $0.26 to $0.36 and the increased trading
volume.
Answering your specific questions, the Company responds as follows:
Is the company aware of any information concerning it that has not
been announced which, if known, could be an explanation for recent
trading in the securities of the Company?
No. LibertyOne is not aware of any information concerning the
Company which could be an explanation for the recent trading in the
securities of the Company. We can only speculate on any reasons for
the recent upsurge in price and volume.
If the answer to question 1 is yes, can an announcement be made
immediately? If not, why not and when is it expected that an
announcement will be made?
N/A
Is there any other explanation that the Company may have for the
price change and increase in volume in the securities of the company?
LibertyOne is part of a rapidly growing industry that is subject to
constant speculation and rumour about joint ventures, licensing
deals, mergers and takeovers.
LibertyOne regularly discusses potential strategic relationships with
many businesses throughout the Internet sector. However, we are not
currently in any discussions that would require LibertyOne to make an
announcement to the market, in accordance with its continuous
disclosure obligations.
A possible consideration is that heavy selling in the Company's stock
towards the end of the last financial year is being counterbalanced
by strong buying demand in the new financial year.
Please confirm that the company is in compliance with the listing
rules and, in particular, listing role 3.1?
LibertyOne is well aware of its continuous disclosure obligations and
will continue to announce information material to investors in
accordance with its obligations. Therefore, to the best of its
knowledge and belief, LibertyOne Limited is in compliance with the
listing rules and, in particular, listing rule 3.1.
