As a NZ trader only one as to wonder why I don't play in other markets yet when you compare turnovers like NZSE today against the ASX as you readily can see the difference on Stockwatch. Much more liquid and daily gains (losses) to be made percentage wise. I think our market is the way it is as nobody is interested in it anymore regardless of what value it may be offering. I think an almagamation with ASX will be better for everyone and definately better for our companies and NZ in general if it saves them leaving our shores. For CEN - I think they only rosed in the last 3 weeks due to their own buyback and if they stop buying, the price is only going to fall. Telecom is down a lot and may be a good buy but I have that feeling you could see a drift down to $6.50 level in next week or 2. Look at FFS where it is public knowledge that it will be sold and probably for at least $1.20. Thats a 50% premium on todays price. But still it sits where it does as does FLP where one can make about 5% which is almost guaranteed.
