I hear Vodaphone are in talks to put a gateway into NZ for a satellite
telephone service.They have the rights to GLOBALSTAR telecom (GSTRF)which is
a subsidary of LORAL SPACE and a consortium of BIG names including
Qualcomm.Coverage anytime/anywhere with data/voice/voice mail/fax etc.
A superior system to the failed IRIDIUM,it is picked by the "gilder
technology group" to dominate remote telecom services. www.glidertech.com
This same group picked the dominance of CDMA as early as 1991.Look at QCOM
now.
