TELEMEDIA NETWORKS INTERNATIONAL
LIMITED 2000-05-17 ASX-SIGNAL-G
HOMEX - Melbourne +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Telecommunications software provider Telemedia has won a deal to provide internet service provider I-4-Free with the latest data switching technology. The equipment will enable New Zealand's fastest-growing internet provider to accommodate the rapidly increasing customer demand for its services. Telemedia chief executive Chris Jones said under the deal his company will provide I-4-Free with state-of-the-art switching equipment. "We're delighted to be providing one of New Zealand's most innovative ISPs with technology that will further enable it to grow its market position and meet the needs of customers nationwide." The deal could be worth up to US$2 million to Telemedia over the next six to nine months, based on I-4-Free customer number projections. I-4-Free chief executive Annette Presley said the company chose Telemedia because of the proven performance of its equipment. "The extremely high density switching box they are providing will enable us to fit more modems in each rack, thus accommodating the massive growth we're experiencing." "Telemedia's reputation for providing exceptional switching solutions played a key role in our decision to appoint them to support us in this critical element of our business," said Presley. |
