[sharechat] AQL - Convertible Notes
The Conv. Notes are holding up because there is still some confidence in the
market that AQL
will be able to redeem the notes for .25c cash when they mature on 30/9/00.
If the Shanghai Aquarium sale proceeds, then they will almost certainly be
able to redeem the
notes.If AQL is unable to sell their Aquarium assets ......well I just don't
know.Perhaps Mr
E. Watson will be able to bale them out with another loan.
If you are confident that AQL's asset sales will still proceed, then the
convertible notes make
very good buying at current prices.Personally, I would hold of buying any
until the asset sales have been unconditionally confirmed.
Disclosure: I own AQLGA (and are somewhat concerned, I might add)
