Nigel Couldn't agree more. I read somewhere that 80% of day traders lose money and I believe it. I don't see how the average bloke can out guess the professionals. I have just started investing on the Nasdaq In my usually conservative way. I am looking at the restaurant sector which has been a bit of a poor relation for the last year or so and am currently grinding my way through the research on 50 or so companies - fascinating. I have bought into a couple so far and the next step will be to hop over there and check them out first hand - tax deductible of course! Software is another area that I would like to look at (PRGS is one I am looking at). Perhaps you would share the names of the companies you are in as you have obviously done the hard yards. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
