Re: [sharechat] wow - look at telstra bounce!!!!!
well I'd say the NZSE showed commendable maturity and sanity
and measured restraint today. Now its up to the US investors to
prove they can recover their's tonight.
Rather strange comments about the NZSE being 'overvalued and ready for a
fall'.
A cursory look at the P/E average for the market and the gross dividend
yield
average for the market in say the Press versus similar figures for overseas
ones
would rapidly destroy that illusion. And there's much better pickings than
the average
in good solid companies on the NZSE. Value investors overseas with any nous
and
access to NZ info should be investing in selected coys on the NZSE first.
So, only the day traders were killed?
Some of our esteemed day traders - speak to us! I would hate to have lost
them.
Can't see them really dying on the NZSE today.
It will be a relief to get back to business as usual tomorrow if the US can
regain its sanity
tonight.
Maybe some of these US investors need some medication - "sell everything
now for any price
you can get and give them away free if you can't" seems to have been the
attitude on the Nasdaq.
cheers,
hugh
