Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good day, I have noticed a few WDT postings recently, so
for those readers interested in Wellington Drive Technologies Ltd(WDT) the
following is some info I have read recently in different articles, along
with info from their website. I hope it is of help to those
watching/following this share.

I believe some investors have been making good capital gains from this share
recently and the outlook seems positive for global opportunity according to
company reports. While WDT is probably considered a Tech stock, they do have
a very real and saleable product which seems to have huge potential, however
I also remember a battery product that was going to revolutionise the car
industry a few years back and has caused a few investors heart ache since.
So please make your own conclusions.

WDT is promoting a new electric motor, suitable for mass-market appliances
and other uses such as truck air conditioning, food processing equipment and
high performance vacuum cleaners. The motors are or the brushless type,
electronically-controlled, and constructed from permanent magnets and
specialized plastics.

WDT already has a substantial portfolio of intellectual property and have,
over recent years become a supplier of brushless motor solutions and
complete motors and motor components. This technology gives them advantages
over conventional motors that the general public are associated with. The
motors they have developed have been branded as world leaders within two
years, hence the global opportunity.

"In a recent survey of the US fractional horsepower motor market by Frost &
Sullivan (January 1999) reports indicated that the demand for brushless
motors has strengthened to the point of jeopardizing prospects for all other
motor types".

With regards to the share itself, it has recently been trading with good
volumes on the secondary market and the price has risen by over 50% in the
last month or so. There has also been recent speculation regarding a listing
on the main board of the NZSE when the motors get into production in
Australia and the USA. Apparently the company has also placed large volumes
of shares with Institutional investors and this could be one reasons for the
price move.

Revenues from royalties, license fees and contract engineering are expected
to increase during the 2000-2001 financial years to the point that the
Company will trade profitably and revenue is expected to grow significantly
thereafter. The directors of the company are Dr Ross Green (Managing
Director), Dr Ray Thomson (Chairman) Shawn Beck, Martyn Gall, Dr Brian
Rhoades.

With licensees, the Group (the Company and licensees) has four products in
field trial on direct production tracks. Several additional products are
undergoing proof-of-concept evaluation with end customers. The products on
production tracks now are as follows:

Appliances. A motor for food processing equipment is at production status in
the USA, with full production awaiting end-customer approval.

Air Conditioning. A large air conditioning fan motor is being sampled in
Australia, and is ready to be produced in series following final approvals
and life testing.

Heavy Truck Air Conditioning. A fan motor for heavy truck air conditioning
entered field trials in the USA in June.

Cleaners. A high-performance vacuum cleaner motor enters regulatory approval
trials in the USA in October. After field trials in 2000 the unit is
scheduled for introduction in 2001.

Products are being introduced via licensees in selected markets. It is
anticipated that two licensees will begin series production during the year
to 30 June 2000. The Company also participates in joint ventures in certain
circumstances. Two licensees are presently active in the USA (California and
Connecticut). A third licensee, a joint venture between the Company and
Technical Motor Company Pty. Ltd, operates in Australia. Licensees in other
geographical areas may be added over the coming year. The Company has a
strategic alliance with Newtronics Pty. Ltd., Melbourne, Australia (a member
of the ATCO group of companies) regarding development and sales of
electronic commutators.

Hope this info is of assistance to those interested in researching WDT
further- Happy Trading

Cheers Brett
