Hi Derek, All the shares purchased by ABN Amro were purchased under a special ticker code SPEC2. They purchased 73,330,424 AIRVB shares. They only require 9.6m so these orders will be scaled by the broker and the NZSE. Brokers are still waiting to be told how the scaling will affect their orders. AMN Amro said they would give preference to holdings of 5000 or less so the smaller holders are being taken care of. Brokers didn't get alot of notice that this was happening so I can't help you with getting more notice. Kind regards, Sarah Corkill Direct Broking -----Original Message----- From: Derek Watt [mailto:watt250@hotmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, 12 April 2000 00:31 To: sharechat@sharechat.co.nz Subject: [sharechat] RE: AIRVB & Bob Does anyone know what is going on with AIRVB? How come there was supposed to be a stand in the market at $3 to end at 10:30am when according to the access brokerage site the shares haven't traded that high today. (last checked at 12.08 pm) They seem to be giving preference to small shareholders, but in that case why give practically no warning and such a short stand? Most small shareholders would have missed it (including me). Also why is Bob Jones complaining about this site? It's not supposed to be a personality contest! (Bye the way, thanks for the e-star analyses Bob) Bye, Derek. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
