Re: Re: [sharechat] NYSE Trading
I use E*Trade for longs and AB Watley for trading. Theres no 'best'
really, they meet differing needs. You have to decide what your needs
are, then match those as closely as you can to what a broker provides.
eg do you want in & out of positions in seconds or minutes, do you need
access to pre market, ecn's, etc. The pro traders will tell you not to
use a web based broker for day trading, rather, software based like
cybercorp.com or abwatley.com. (and high speed connection). If you need
execution/confirmation in 3-5 seconds, use software based, if 30 seconds
to 30 minutes, use web based.
Plenty provide for non US accounts.
Dont be lured by cheap trades. There is usually a compromise. eg poor
execution.
Some of the broker info is misleading eg Even though you cannot use a
stop order on a nasdaq stock, brokers provide stops in their software.
They actually manage the stop for you and many execute on the bid, not
the price. So beware traps for newbies.
Use official sites to get your info. eg nasdaq.com, amex.com,
cboe.com.
