5. Most importantly FUNDAMENTALS DO
COUNT , the bubble internet stock
bonanza will only last so long, what really
counts is bottom line. Earnings per
share etc are far more relevent than hype, and
the Nz market must be one of the least
hyped and under priced in the world, but times
will change and we will one day have our
place in the sun
For my two cents worth Nick, yes,
fundamentals do count. However, under this current labour alliance govt. it is
precisely on the fundamentals now where NZ companies are at their weakest.
This govt. has already set in place the policies, and indicated the path, that
will, in 'my' opinion slowly now dismantle those essential innovative and
vigourous aspects of the economy. I believe that over the next five to six
years now, the outlook for the nz economy is bleak - in light of this, the
NZSE would not seem undervalued at all.
Of course, I might be wrong - but I don't
think I am.
