Alistair, the problem they seem to have is that
their initial reaction was simply too positive. The media was spouting
huge amounts of oil within hours and all of a sudden we're hearing stories about
how this alone can cure the ills of the NZ economy. Bsides, buying into
mining exploration firms is too akin to gambling for most people. Odds in
roulette are generally better, even with all the technology they have these
days, and the world market for oil is far too volatile.
