The Ansett NZ deal has beeen widely tipped for a couple of weeks now.  
The only surprise is the shoemaker RM Williams being part of the 
consortium of Skeggs, Farmer and Gibbs.  I do not think SIA care much 
about Ansett NZ.  They are after but one trophy, Ansett Australia and 
its' Asia links.

No doubt Ansett NZ will form an alliance with Qantas and BA and announce 
one of those as a cornerstone shareholder in the weeks/months ahead.

For one that is indirectly affected by the ramifications of the long 
awaited Ansett NZ sale I must say, "'bout ******* time".
