Reading the article in IDG news regarding
Internet-access terminals being installed in Caltex Star Mart stores reminded me
of Savoy's legal proceeding against the Auckland City Council with regards to
the Britomart project. I think the CEO indicated that an announcement was to be
made before the end of the month in this respect.
Does anyone have any updates they could pass
on???
I suggest Savoy would be hoping for an out of court
settlement, as the legal eagles could take forever dragging this through court.
Savoy is claiming $100m plus for breach of contract and is pursuing this matter
vigourously. If the media articles indicating discussions between Ericsson and
Savoy are accurate, Savoy may be relying on a favouable outcome to this legal
action to continue future developments in the tech sector. At 6 cents I believe
the stock maybe under rated for it's potential when comparing with the
likes of Spectrum and Wilson Neil, especially when Savoy is diversifying quickly
and effectively at seemingly little cost to the company and yet still
maintaining its core property assets. This may well be an interesting share to
watch over the next month or so. What do you think???
Cheers Bret
