[sharechat] DB Group offer
The $2.80 offer for part/all of DBG closes this Monday 27 March. It is
clear that a number of large shareholders will reject the offer and the
90% threshold will not be reached. Yesterday saw almost 5% of the issued
capital change hands at 285-287c, an indication that someone is
determined to milk more out of Asia Pacific Breweries. APB have twice
stated, 'no more sweeteners'.
Some analyts say it is worth up to $3.50 for total control and access to
cashflow. Speculation also mounts that Corbans may be floated/sold and
Heineken to be brewed here for the Australian market. They currently
receive the costly European product.
I'm up 35% on this but my hunch is there is more to come. $3.10 to $3.20
but unlikely $3.50.
Any thoughts, tips, rumours, broker feedback on this?
