know if you have the virus"
It appears that a number of list users did not
follow the discussion on this last week so I have appended below the
way to find out if you have Kak. Please Malcolm and everyone running Outlook
Express, to be fair on the rest of the internet community, ensure you have a
virus checking program running and have installed the Microsoft security patch
available from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
. Thanks
Have you got it?
If you do not use Outlook Express (OE) for email
then you are in the clear - read no further.
If you use OE then take a look at the version
number under the Help/About menu. If it is 5.00.2919.6600 or higher then you're
in the clear - read no further.
Otherwise you are vulnerable to kak.
Use the Start/Find menu to search for "kak" files.
If you find some (probably in your startup and Windows directories) then you are
infected.
If you don't find any kak files then you still need
to install the Microsoft security update to protect your computer.
Always use reputable virus scanning software with
recently updated virus definitions.
