The news this afternoon seems to indicate that Aunty Helen has stuck her size 12 boots into this deal as well by refusing to let SIA take a larger stake in AIRNZ down the road. If this deal doesn't go through then the Koru is dog tucker. The company is going to be cash stretched and competing with a solid and financially sound Qantas and SIA/Virgin Australia (even though SIA is getting into the Star alliance). Rumours abound that Ansett NZ will be renamed Qantas NZ by the month end - then watch their market share rise as they re-equip and string a better feeder service onto the Tasman. All to the detriment of AIRNZ. Nice one Helen - by the way are you still waiting for the Kiwis abroad to come flooding back - cause if they do it will be on planes sporting the jumping white rat on their tails! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
