My broker advised me this morning that the word is spreading regarding
Singapore Airlines’ buying of 25% of Air NZ, which will scuttle the
Virgin attempt to land in Australia and leave Air NZ in an extremely
powerful position both in Australia and internationally. 
Of course I jumped in and purchased both AIRVA and AIRVB shares as
the entry prices are still pretty attractive at the moment but aren’t
likely to remain at these levels for too long as institutions and
overseas investors are expected to wade in later today. Good to see
extremely positive things on the horizon though for our national
carrier.
