RE: RE: [sharechat] Walker Wireless: ???
Hi Les,
Who is strongest? How long is a piece of string?
Seriously, if I knew this maybe I'd be a lot wealthier than I am!
But wireless, I've had a hunch about for some time. Wireless stocks in the
USA have been hot for a while, and, even though I'm a layman in this area,
it seems logical to me that a lot more data of any kind, or voice, can be
transmitted through the air rather than down some cable, be it copper or
fibre optic. I've been looking to put some of my money into my wireless
hunch for a while and because my investments, unlike others in this forum,
are restricted to NZ, this hasn't been easy. My stake in Savoy was a pure
speculative play for other reasons. You can imagine my delight when,
subsequent to purchasing these shares, they acquired their stake in Safety
Net. That's life -- we all need a bit of luck from time to time! Cape Range
Radio [CAG] on the ASX may be worth a closer look. I believe there are
several other Aussie wireless stocks as well. A pending Aussie listing may
be Wavenet.
My personal opinion, and really no more than another hunch, is that Walker
may be the pick of the bunch in NZ, certainly amongst the new, smaller
players. I'm sure that most of the bigger Telcos and ISP's are looking
closely at, or already have some wireless interests. I don't know anything
about Radionet beyond their Wilson Neill association but will try and find
their website --- unless anybody else can help on that score.
Cheers
