Re: [sharechat] BRY's tech@BIL
So its to be Bil@tech and not Bil.com.
Ooh aah swoon, what a hoot, why can't I stop laughing.
Someone needs an
award for stand-up comedian of the year (so far).
Well, $100mill is a pretty small fraction of Bil's non-performing
assets such as Molokai Ranch. Someone thought Bil and $100
mill into tech was a big investment but the BIL is no longer an NZ stock,
it thinks its in a much bigger East Asian pond now. Well, lets be
charitable, put it in the context of the ASX and compare it with say
Solution6,
not the largest Australian tech at all. Um, lets see thats under 10% of
Solution6. And lets be even more charitable, lets assume Bil drops
their butterfingered hamfisted performance they've had since they
elbowed Sir Ron out and that they scored a stunning 10 bagger.
Wow! Thats about 25 cents towards the 80 cents or so shareholders value per
share
lost over the past year is it.
Last year it was the big joint venture with Rothschilds which was going
to stun the investment world. No specific investments ever surfaced and
its been quietly shelved hasn't it. Any sign of any specific investments
for Bil@tech? (sorry, I don't get to read their faxes now). Perhaps 99%
of Henley.....
I do keep the odd investment on just for amusement value such as
Summerfruit
Orchards to find out how they've been hit by drought, frosts, cracking,
birdstrike,
market collapse, hail etc each year (disappointing this year, 2 cases of
cherries and
they're even threatening to pay a dividend, I dunno, I'll have to
sell)...maybe I should
have kept some BIL....
cheers,
Hugh
