Re: [sharechat] Re: Genesis query (Margie) -Reply
Thanks Hugh, some good info here. I expect the higher profile that goes
with a listing on the NZSE/Nasdaq can only help the share price, esp if it
appears cheap at the moment. I'll be watching this one closely!
NZOG shares at 29c today -- I figure this is too good to resist, so I'm
back in again. Maybe our old shark GPG are looking too and licking their
chops?
Cheers, H.

Harley,
I'm don't actually have any shares in Genesis, my info was drawn from
an article in the Sunday Star Times about 3 to 4 weeks ago and I thought
it was pretty good in terms of its US links to a large equity partner there
and FDA contract. The large equity partner was valued at much higher
ratios
being on the NASDAQ and Genesis is after a NASDAQ listing about mid
2000
I think it is. If you look back in Sharechat you'll see I posted the SST
article in full
and one sharechatter, I'm sorry my memory fails me but it was either
Derek
or Graham Watts
bought some for an immediate sizable gain most of which still exists.
Since
then they have
bought 5% of something (dammit, if I'd bought some shares myself I'd
remember all this
without even trying!). But they seem to have extremely good long range
planning management
and with half their staff highly qualified scientists they're not fly by
nighters or paper shufflers.
They have at least 2 major projects. I have a feeling that they were a
new
listing rather than a back in
(I could be wrong there) and that therefore their prospectus would still
have some of the data you're
after, plus annual and half annual reports. I think dividends are still
years off but good medium term capital
gains could be in prospect.
cheers,
Hugh
