Hugh,
Everyone accepts a well-founded case substantiated by
facts and figures. But when it is based purely on
personal feelings and assumptions about a particular
stock, then that opinion is worth zilch. It is
accepted that tech stocks have yet to deliver in New
Zealand but investors know and are prepared to take
that gamble. At the end of the day, it their money
that they will be making on or losing, and it has
nothing to do with you, Rob or all the other non-tech
punters. 
Tech stock investors are also not savaging (as you
emotively described it) non-tech investors on this
site. What is clear though is that certain
contributors on Sharechat are very quick at dishing it
out, but are not very good at taking it when it is
dished back.
